When Akira visits the Remembrance Tower, he comes across a Slowpoke blocking the way up to the fourth floor, just sort of stretched out across the doorway with its mouth open in mid-yawn like it's gotten tired already and it hasn't even gone up the stairs yet. He can easily just step over the Pokemon and be on his merry way. But it'll still be there when he comes down, and if he stops and takes a closer look at it, there seems to be tears in its eyes- possibly due to yawning, but also possibly due to something it's clutching to its chest: the top half of a Shellder shell.

The Slowpoke reaches out very very slowly and takes hold of Akira's pant leg in one of its paws and holds on. ... It maybe wants something, and isn't keen on letting go until it gets its wishes across. Please have patience with this sad little Slowpoke.
