→ HIATUS
A hiatus that lasts less than two weeks will still require players to submit activity for that month. A hiatus that lasts two weeks or longer will exempt the player from submitting activity. However, players will still need to post a comment under their top-level on the Permanent AC page to prevent from being swept from the game. For a hiatus that will last for longer than four weeks, players must first speak to the mods. In addition, players cannot take a hiatus two months in a row, or take a hiatus after they've received a strike.
Characters that go on hiatus will be on auto-pilot and may choose to exist in the background of their travelling party, temporarily travel alone apart from the group, or remain in a town.

→ DROPS
Characters who drop will either go missing and presumed to be dead, or will be permanently dead, at the player's discretion. If the character goes missing, they may be reapped in the future by the original player, or by a new player with their memories erased. Players who choose permadeath for their character acknowledge that the character may not be reapped in the future by either the original player or a new player.
In both instances, the Pokemon of a dropped character may be released back into the wild or given to another character.
