History:


Itaru's life is average for the most part; even though he was born with a pretty face, he was bullied for being too weak to do any strenuous activities, like sports. He became reclusive as a result, opting to go straight home to play videogames instead of mingling with friends after school. So to rectify this, his older sister helped him put up an image of a sickly prettyboy when he starts high school so that he wouldn't be picked on anymore, and it worked for the most part! He even made a friend who promised that he wouldn't tell everyone in school about his fake act, but said friend went and did it anyway and Itaru was so heartbroken and betrayed about it that he closed away his heart from everyone. He graduated, went on to university where he started livestreaming games under the gamertag "taruchi", and got a job as a salaryman at a trading company.

But he needed a place to stay, and it just so happened that Mankai Company, a budding theater company, was looking for some actors to make it till the deadline and chanced upon him to come stay with them in exchange of acting in their first play. Itaru took up their offer, but with only videogames in the brain he isn't really motivated to put his all into acting during practices, and it took an ankle sprain and everyone telling him that they're here to accept him for who he is to make him realize the magic of theater and the found family trope to convince him to stay on board. From then on, Itaru's become more passionate in theater, and he even got to portray his most favorite character in the stageplay of his favorite videogame franchise at one so he's really out here living his best life.


Personality:

⬥ What does your character consider to be their top 3 strengths?
Videogames, of course. Itaru actually has a pretty wide acting range, from heroic protagonists to scheming antagonists due to having to put up a number of facades in public. Lastly, despite coming off as a slob to everyone who knows him, Itaru can be hardworking and knows how to handle boring adult shit like taxes and financial reports, so.

⬥ What do others consider to be your character's worst weakness?
He's aware of this too, but everyone knows that his biggest weakness is his lack of athleticism. He's gotten a bit more resilient from all the theater training, but please don't make him lift anything bigger than a PS4.

⬥ How does your character interact with others?
If it's a stranger or someone at work, he'd put on his reliable professional facade, complete with a charming smile on his face. But if it's anyone he intimately knows like his fellow actors, he'd be his child-hearted, foulmouthed gamer addict self who spits out nothing but gaming trivia. Either way he's approachable enough, but he makes sure to put most people at arm's length at first.

⬥ What motivates or drives your character?
VIDEOGAMES... I wish I were kidding about this. He does get better about this once he's broadened his horizons after joining Mankai Company, but basically if there's no wifi to access his 234587345 mobage he wouldn't wanna stay there for too long, for example.

⬥ How does your character spend their free time?
Lock himself up in his room during the weekend and play videogames throughout the night, babey! But he does practice his lines intensely when he's chosen to appear in a play, and he gets super into it at times.

⬥ What is your character's greatest wish?
A 10-pull in a mobage where every card is an SSR. Kidding, his greatest wish is to be accepted for who he is so that he won't have to pretend to be someone else anymore.


CRAU: In Fractura, where one would be flung into various alternate universes when they least expect it, Itaru has definitely seen some Shit compared to his vanilla counterpart. Firstly, he's more or less used to death and dying given that he's killed someone for the vine at one point (a long story). He also doesn't want to admit it, but he starting to miss working but it's more because he's bored hanging out at Fantasy Costco inbetween worldhops, so he's coming to appreciate doing behind-the-scenes work like extensive research and other boring deskjobs like that.

Powers: He's a pretty normal guy all things considered, so no powers here.

He flies off into a high tree and settles onto a thick branch that can't be reached without some expert climbing. Putting the phone down gently, he begins to start pecking at it and occasionally poke the screen with his talons. How do you turn on Angry Pidgeys on this thing? He's seen a bunch of humans and Pokemon playing it so he wants to give it a try too!
